Workshop opportunity: “Musculoskeletal Tissue Regeneration: From Mechanobiology to In Vitro/In Vivo Models and Advanced Imaging”

There is a 3nd INTERREG – 8th TERMIS Winterschool 2020 on “Musculoskeletal Tissue Regeneration: From Mechanobiology to In Vitro/In Vivo Models and Advanced Imaging” in Radstadt, Salzburg, Austria from January 12th-15th, 2020.

This is both a great opportunity for students to get first-hand experience in performing preclinical (in vitro and in vivo) models as well as in vivo imaging and European networking with team activities in a beautiful environment and ski slopes just 100m from the meeting venue. There is also a possibility to present posters on the workshop’s topic.

RSC Biomaterials Chemistry meeting – 9-11 Jan 2020

Please note information below regarding RSC Biomaterials Chemistry Annual Conference 2019, 9 January 2019 12:00 – 11 January 2019 13:00, Liverpool

http://www.rsc.org/events/detail/35364/rsc-biomaterials-chemistry-annual-conference-2019

The annual RSC Biomaterials chemistry meeting brings together researchers from across the UK and internationally, working to advance knowledge and focus on biomaterial chemistry research and development.

The event aims to enhance the understanding of the chemistries underlying the use of biomaterials in applications including antimicrobial surfaces, drug delivery and regenerative medicine. The focus of this years meeting is Anti-Infective Materials and Device Related Infections, Biomaterials for Therapeutic Delivery, Biomaterials for Tissue Induction and Regenerative Medicine and Bioresponsive Surfaces.

Currently, our plenary speakers are Professor Robert Hancock (University of British Columbia, Canada), Professor John Fisher (Leeds), Professor Graham Leggett (University of Sheffield) and Professor Rasmita Raval (University of Liverpool).

TERMIS 2020 – Save the date

The 2020 Tissue and Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society EU meeting will be held in sunny Manchester from 26th-29th May 2020. TCES will be featured at this conference, and will not have a standalone conference in 2020. Please come back soon for more information!

Lectureship available at University of Manchester

The School of Biological Sciences invite applications for a Lecturer in Stem Cell Biology/ Regenerative Medicine to further our world-leading research and teaching in this field. You will have complementary research interests that not only span stem cells and regenerative medicine, but can capitalise on the opportunities available from the unique environment offered in Manchester for collaboration with colleagues working in basic biology through to translational therapies.

You will be supported in developing your own lab and research programme at the University of Manchester from which you will grow an international reputation in the field. You will benefit from joining an established community of collegiate researchers including membership of the Manchester Regenerative Medicine Network and affiliation to the Wellcome Trust Centre for Cell-Matrix Research.

Register for the TCES-UKSB 2019 conference!

The first joint conference of the Tissue and Cell Engineering Society and the UK Society for Biomaterials will be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, situated on the scenic University of Nottingham campus in the Midlands, UK. The conference will take place over three days from Tuesday 11th – Thursday 13th June 2019 and will provide a stimulating forum for discussion of new developments in biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine research.

This meeting offers an opportunity to engage with exciting research driving the field forward with keynote presentations from internationally renowned speakers including:

Stephen Badylak, University of Pittsburgh
Elizabeth Cosgriff-Hernandez, University of Texas
Jan de Boer, Eindhoven University of Technology
Alicia El Haj, University of Birmingham
Roisin Owens, University of Cambridge
Chris Sammon, Sheffield Hallam University
Katja Schenke-Layland, University of Tubingen
Sandra Van Vlierberghe, Ghent University

Please see our website for details of the full three day joint conference including abstract submission, registration and accommodation.
